I'm sharing this, not to put a target on the backs of our county election commissioners (I'm quite sure they are just doing as they were told and as they were trained to do), but to highlight what I think is a very real problem that we have with regard to how our votes are being counted.
There is no real human oversight of the counting of our ballots--not even when votes are written in by hand. Note how many times in my conversation with my county election commissioner she references the "programming" that is involved in counting the write-in votes.

Programming, huh? Done by software of which "we the people" are granted no oversight, and programmed by election software companies who insist upon non-disclosure agreements with our Secretary of State (who foolishly agreed to such a lack of transparency).

"Electionware" needs to go.
